MICHAEL STILWELL - "JOHNNY" - GUITAR, VOCALS

I was born in Ramapo, N.Y. in 1962. In 1985, I started my music career playing guitar in both cover and original music bands. Switching to bass, I played with with various local bands as well as touring and playing abroad on cruise ships. One of my recent musical projects is a Johnny Cash tribute band called "Johnny and the Cashettes." This is a unique band as I get to perform Johnny Cash tunes with an all female band.

TANYBUG - "JUNE" - VOCALS, PERCUSSION

I have lived in the Central Florida for most of my life raised on
rock-n-roll. Many in the area know me from my local musician promotional web work, particularly DaytonaRock.Com. Many know me from my years of enjoying local music. I was always the one shaking some sort of percussion (as well as my booty). The last few years, I was given the opportunity to sing the June Carter parts for the tribute band "Ring Of Fire." I am excited to now have the chance to sing, again as June, in the unique tribute band, "Johnny and the Cashettes."

BARBARA "SMASHER" NEWCOMER

I bought a cheap guitar in 1970 at the Army-Navy store in Downtown Atlanta!(sounds like a song! LOL). Never did much with it. Bought another guitar and then some drums in the early ‘80s. I took lessons on rudimentary drumming until my unborn baby protested by kicking me (inside) when I tried to play! Didn’t use either instrument until I moved to Edgewater in 1987 and got involved with open mic night at Peanuts where I sat in on drums from time to time. I also played a little guitar for the residents at a nursing home where I worked from 2005-2013. I am really excited to now be a part of the tribute band, "Johnny and the Cashettes."

PATTY KENYON - BASS

After playing piano and guitar as a kid, I finally returned to it 7 years ago and joined a neighborhood bluegrass band called Swamp Possum.  I was the washtub bass player.  I soon bought an upright bass and never looked back.  I’ve been lucky enough to play with some very talented musicians in numerous country and rock bands around Central Florida.  Five years ago, the band Willow was formed and we still play together often. I now have the opportunity to play bass for the Johnny Cash tribute band, "Johnny and the Cashettes."

SUSIE PARKS - GUITAR, VOCALS

I was born in Burbank, California and lived in Panorama City on “LULLABY LANE."Music has always been a part of my life. Whether it was dancing at school dances or singing in church, or High School concert choir. As far a writing, I started writing poems in 2009 and then realized I had felt “GROUNDED” and it was time to make these poems into songs! This would be a “NEW BEGINNING!” Wow I thought, maybe I could be a singer songwriter? So now that I’m writing a little bit about myself it sort of feels like I’m “SITTING NEXT TO YESTERDAY!” I have had a dozen of my original songs recorded and my first CD release party in 2012. A lot of my songs are a “MIRROR IMAGE” of my life. And now I reside in Daytona Beach and I’m enjoying the music scene here in Florida! I decided to “JUST GO WITH IT” and not take this music thing to seriously and enjoy it! There are so many talented musicians here and I have been blessed with an incredible mentor, Michael Stilwell who continues to teach me fingerstyle guitar and how to perfect my craft! And this is not a “PICK UP LINE” When I met him I felt like I’ve known him forever! I’m loving this journey I am on! I am very blessed to be a part of this group and hope to learn more as I go! I have “UNSHAKABLE FAITH” that keeps me going! Life is a journey and It’s amazing what we can do in “A DASH OF TIME!”
